Location: Irvine, California - Onsite

Duration: 6+ months

Experience : 9+ Years

 

Detailed Job Description:

 

• Good experience in Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL database administration
• Design and implement Heterogenous and Homogenous Database migration from On-premises to AWS Cloud – Oracle/SQL Server to AWS Oracle RDS/SQL Server RDS/AWS Aurora PostgreSQL
• Design and implement database migration factory leveraging AWS services (AWS RDS, Aurora, EC2, SCT, DMS, S3, EBS, Data pipeline etc.).
• Experience in Database native backups and restore like using Export/Import, RMAN, Transportable tablespaces, Oracle Data Guard, SQL Server SSMS etc
• Good experience in programming on PostgreSQL – PSQL, Oracle PL/SQL and Stored Procedures, SQL Server T-SQL & PowerShell.
• Experience in Database performance issues trouble shooting & resolution during the migration.
• Experience in dealing the SQL Server SSIS and SSRS implementation.
• Experience in writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CloudFormation
• Design and implement database HA and DR on AWS using Multi-AZ and Multi Region replications.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps- Cloud Formation AWS foundation services
• Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure high performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency using Terraform
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure and databases using automation and DevOps methodologies
• Design and implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines using AWS CI/CD pipeline
• Implement security and compliance best practices for cloud-based solutions
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and AWS RDS databases using Cloud native tools like AWS CloudWatch
• Experience in Database operation support like handling Incident/Change/Problem management
