• Experience: 10 years in ServiceNow
• Expertise in IT Operations Management (ITOM): ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management
• Experience with ServiceNow Integration: Integration with third-party tools
• Application Portfolio Management (APM): Experience in APM is good to have, along with ITOM
• Priority Areas: Focus on ITOM and APM as niche skills
• Common Service Data Model (CSDM): Check for relevant experience
• Role: Developer
• Communication Skills: Must be presentable with strong communication skills
• Certifications:
• ServiceNow Admin – Certified System Administrator (Mandatory)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (ITOM) – Good to have
• Certified SPM (Service Portfolio Management) – Good to have
• Certified Application Developer – Good to have

• Demonstrated ability to implement projects on time to meet project schedules.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

 

Application Portfolio Management (APM) Expertise:

• Essential expertise in Application Portfolio Management (APM).
• Emphasis on managing and optimizing the organization's portfolio of applications for enhanced efficiency and performance.

 

Technical Proficiency:

• Intermediate-level experience with Service Now implementations.
• Understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
• Proficiency in system integration using web services and other web-based technologies (XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP).
• Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and team members in a consultative fashion.

 

Service Now ITSM Modules:

• Hands-on experience in the development and implementation of Service Now ITSM modules:
• Asset Management
• Incident Management
• Change Management
• CMDB/Discovery
• Service Mapping/Dependency Mapping
• IT Asset Management

 

Technical Understanding:

• Exposure to Service Now platform capabilities.
• Understanding of technical and functional design requirements related to Service Now.

 

Scripting and Automation:

• Proficient in creating and managing scripts and workflow.
• Experience in one or more scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, PowerShell.

 

ITSM Fundamentals:

• Fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL
• Understanding of CMDB.

 

Service Now Scripting Aspects:

• Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs - all scripted aspects of the Service Now system.
• Proficiency in Service Now client and server-side JavaScript and the Service Now APIs.

 

Web Services and Integration:

• Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup, and Integration of Service Now to Other Applications.

 

Customization Skills:

• Customizing Service Now using UI Pages, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly.
• Implementation of Custom UI Changes with the usage of Web Technologies such as DOM, HTML changes.
