Salesforce Solutions Architect Position Overview:
• The Salesforce Solutions Architect (SSA) is responsible for supporting Client's wide initiatives with an emphasis on infrastructure architecture, security, and application architecture.
• The incumbent will play a critical role in designing and overseeing the implementation of integrated technology solutions that support our organization's long-term goals and will be deeply involved in daily work across all business units, regularly interacting with both stakeholders and subject matter experts with a primary focus on the Local Public Health (LPH) project.
Salesforce Solutions Architect Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design Salesforce architecture solutions spanning business processes, hardware, operating systems, applications, networking environments, and platforms.
• Develop Salesforce technical frameworks and components that address common needs and can potentially be leveraged enterprise wide.
• Lead and collaborate with a solution integrator to design, develop, and implement a Salesforce solution, using Salesforce components, including Public Sector Solutions, experience Cloud, Service Cloud, ensuring they align with client requirement and Salesforce best practices.
• Responsible for providing Salesforce technical architecture leadership.
• Work closely with the Enterprise Applications Support team to architect Salesforce solutions across the current Salesforce implementation, legacy platforms, and net new development. Review of all current implementations to identify gaps, risks and recommend improvements and optimization areas includes Custom Code and integrations.
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and middleware engineers to define scalable, extensible, cost-effective, and standards-based solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define and document Salesforce functional and nonfunctional details, technical architecture, and design specifications for end-to-end infrastructure with a focus on architectural standards, growth, performance, flexibility, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Build out a cost-effective infrastructure architecture based on the Salesforce platform.
• Present facts and recommendations effectively in both oral and written form.
• Consult with business leadership to develop and maintain an architecture design in alignment with business strategy and objectives.
• Consult with infrastructure teams, applications teams, data architects, security architects, and strategic partners to create an architecture accommodating the business strategy.
• Conduct vendor code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers to maintain high- quality code.
• Review and lead technical design and provide architecture insight/recommendations on proposed feature additions.
• Review technical team deliverables for compliance with architecture standards, guidelines and leverages best practices.
• Articulate and present point of views on Salesforce product releases, roadmap features and their fit to LPH implementations.
• Guide developers on Client's in Salesforce best practices and principles.
• Provide reviews of technical deliverables and identify gaps/areas for improvement.
• Engage in cross functional team/vendor discussions and provide feedback/insight to leadership.
• Monitor Client's Salesforce org for health, performance and govern limits and share report/recommendations.
• Map proposed functional requirements to Salesforce features and functionality.
• Provide governance and best practices/standards supporting the platform adoption and full application lifecycle (design, development, change control, UAT, deployment and support).
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Participate in technical audits, design reviews, and recommend improvements.
• Problem analysis, diagnosis and remediation including critical events / rollouts.
• Planning, prioritizing, and executing assignments within deadlines.
• Perform risk assessment and provide abatement / mitigation / remediation planning.
• Evaluate Salesforce App Exchange products and technologies and make recommendations accordingly (build / buy).
• Utilize prescribed department change management processes and methodology to report anomalies, errors, inaccuracies, or inefficiencies.
• Provide Biweekly readout on findings and recommendations.
• Review current SDLC process and identify gaps, risks and recommend improvements and optimization areas.
