ALIP (Annuity Products) Software Developer

Location: Des Moines, IA

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Developer to join our team and play a key role in developing and maintaining our Annuity product systems. You will work closely with business analysts, product managers, and other developers to design, build, test, and deploy software solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for Annuity products.
• Utilize strong knowledge of ALIP & ALIP Data structures to develop efficient and scalable solutions.
• Leverage your expertise in SQL (Postgres) to perform complex data queries and manipulations.
• Work with XML data structures and understand their fundamentals.
• Possess a deep understanding of Annuity products, including product rules and business processes.
• Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore development teams.
• Thrive in an Agile development environment and embrace iterative development practices.

Essential Skills:

• 6-8 years of experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of ALIP & ALIP Data structures.
• Proficient in SQL (Postgres) with experience writing complex queries.
• Solid understanding of XML basics.
• In-depth knowledge of Annuity products and their lifecycle.
• Experience working in an Agile development methodology.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with ALIP Product Configuration or Business Configuration.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
• Knowledge of CICD tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.
• Experience with OPAS would be a plus.
• Ability to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Strong customer presentation skills.
