We just had a call with the mgr who use to be our consultant and she needs a Business Systems Analyst. Hybrid. They are in Livonia. Must have data mapping exp, AWS, Jira, and whatever else is listed. Very technical and will hire asap. This isn’t out to anyone else yet.
(no relocation)

 

The project:  AAA Life Data Projects in run the business mode and working with business to satisfy business needs

 

1.    Looking for someone who can jump in and needs to be experience.

2.    Data warehousing experience, data mapping, write queries, hunt data sources, story cards and story mapping, requirements docs, measurement planning

3.    AWS tool familiarity from architecture point of view. How does data move thru AWS environment.  Having this knowledge helps with how it flows, what are the stopping point, how data is broken across schemas.  What teams do we need to bring in.  Understand data privacy rules.

4.    Will work with cloud and data engineers, devs and analytics engineers

5.    Able to connect the dots on AWS tools and how does the flow work

6.    Map where the data is -  if not immediately available – identify data sources – map the data – understand business metrics and map to data.  Work with data and cloud engineers to establish and ingestion process into the data environment

7.    JIRA – document requirements in JIRA

8.    Agile experience

General Purpose
Operating within the core values and operating principals of the organization, the Business Systems Analyst will lead and facilitate the development of technology and processes, gathering requirements and guiding business solutions necessary to meet corporate goals. Use knowledge of business unit processes and objective to proactively suggest business solutions and/or process improvements.
Position Responsibilities

1.    Lead diverse audiences in Requirements Gathering Sessions for complex projects and tasks

2.    Balance the right amount of business and technical analysis necessary for the team to be successful in planning both the project and individual sprints.

3.    Comfortable interacting with both business and technical individuals Leading internal QA by defining project success and working with business partners through UAT

4.    Assist in validation of technical deliverables for completeness, accuracy and quality.

5.    Create wireframes, mockups and possibly prototypes

6.    Understand Python, SQL, Git, and other technical tools relevant to the data team’s development

7.    Facilitate estimating/sizing and work with the team to identify dependencies

8.    Function as a liaison and subject matter expert for assigned subject areas. Assist the Data team in providing analytical support, facilitating research, questions, issues or other needs presented by the business units.

9.    Identify non-functional needs such as usability, performance, security, portability and service levels

10.Proactively work with all roles on the project team to provide support as needed to ensure overall quality and success of initiatives

11.Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise relative to AAA Life and its products, systems, and programs, and business processes

12.Handle additional assignments related to area of expertise, fill in for the Project Manager when required

13.Assist business units by performing root cause analysis on business process issues

14.Perform and document cost benefit analysis on recommended business solutions

15.Analyze impact of system changes on business processes to ensure continuity of production procedures

16.Understand and provide insight into the relationships between business process and applications across the organization

Required Experience

1.    7 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent.

2.    4 years’ experience in quality assurance.

3.    1  experience in SQL and Jira

4.    Must have Agile

5.    Drafting wire frames and development of storyboards.

6.    Expertise in running and administering projects

7.    Expertise in mapping process flow diagrams involving system and people actors

8.    3 years of experience writing SQL code and interpreting results.

9.    Must be local to MI and be able to do hybrid
