Veeva Vault Application Specialist

Detailed responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee implementation of complex enhancements and incremental updates to domain-specific applications

•  Experience with Veeva Vault Medcomms & Promomats

•            Experience with Veeva CRM integrations for CLM Content

• Collaborate with cross-functional business teams and IT teams to understand the end-to-end business processes and functional requirements

• Work with IT functional leads and project managers upstream & downstream (project planning & initiation phase as well as delivery phase) to define initiatives, scope, plan, and objectives to ensure appropriate delivery budget planning & resourcing

• Develop and facilitate strategies for system, data and application integration, ensuring that interfaces supporting domain solutions are properly identified, designed, and implemented

• Provide oversight and guidance to all related technical support teams: work with and manage team of internal and external 3rd party technical resources performing production support and analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment activities related to enhancement and product releases

• Ensure internal and external 3rd party resources comply with the SDLC methodology to ensure the delivery of highly scalable and secure solutions that are optimized for performance

• Problem solving and analytical capabilities with ability to understand commercial business information, logically structure the information into IT elements that build practical solutions, identify root causes of issues, conduct troubleshooting, and perform impact analysis.

• Manage efforts across Support and satellite system specialists to ensure overall integrity and consistency of final proposed solutions

• Experience with database design concepts, middleware concepts, user interface development, and information security engineering

• Familiarity with Vault Configuration, and common technical design patterns, integration patterns and business application development patterns

• Researching and implementing new product features, functionality with customer prototyping, and pilots.

• Transition solutions, once delivered, to the technical support team for ongoing support and maintenance

• Overseeing onsite and offshore technical support teams.

• Provide guidance to operational solution support team as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of IT service management / ITIL foundational architectural concepts (incident, problem, change, configuration mgmt, design, business technology strategy, quality management, and IT environments etc), architecture DevOps methodologies, standards, and tools

• 5 years relevant experience in IT, systems/platform architecture within a life sciences, services company or related consulting firm

•            Application Deployment and monitoring tools

• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, hybrid, other)

• Strong understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, Rest APIs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
