Job Description:
The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing project-oriented work efforts within the IT community. This individual is responsible for coordinating, reporting on project status, and ensuring the stability of projects. The role involves establishing and implementing project management processes and methodologies to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery with high-quality standards that meet customer expectations. The Project Coordinator will assemble project plans, assign teamwork tasks, monitor daily work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate issues appropriately.
Responsibilities: 1. Project Management Processes: Establish and implement effective project management processes and methodologies to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Team Coordination: Assemble project plans, assign tasks to project teams, and monitor daily work efforts. Identify resource needs and ensure the team's adherence to project timelines.
3. Quality Review: Perform quality reviews to maintain high standards in project deliverables.
4. Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately to ensure prompt resolution.
5. Milestone Tracking: Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and resources as necessary to meet customer needs.
6. Communication: Coordinate communication with all enterprise areas that impact project scope, budget, risk, and resources. Collaborate with Project Managers and Program Managers to ensure effective communication.
7. Opportunity Identification: Assist Project Managers and/or Program Managers in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve enterprise goals.
8. Project Complexity: Manage one or more projects of medium to high complexity. In more senior roles, handle large, complex, cross-functional, or multiple projects with significant impact on the enterprise.
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years of IT work experience, including at least 2 years managing projects.
Complexity:
· Intermediate professional level role, managing small to medium-sized, moderately complex projects. Leads and tracks results for a project team under the general direction of project/program managers.
Other Requirements:
· Assemble project schedules and implementation plans.
- Solid experience with SDLC processes and methodologies.
- Solid experience with Project Management Methodologies.
- PMP Certification is required.
