ROLE-SQL Server Developer
LOCATION-Houston, TXNeed candidate local to Houston Only
6+ Months Contract
We are seeking a talented and experienced SQL Server developer to join our team in Houston, TX. This is an on-site position, and we are only considering candidates local to the Houston area.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server database solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented T-SQL code.
- Perform data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data analysis.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex queries.
- Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SQL Server technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a SQL Server developer.
- Strong understanding of T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Experience with database performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with designing and implementing data warehouses.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes (a plus).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Skills:
- Experience with PostgreSQL
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the credit risk and/or trading domain (a plus)
