Skill 3 Cloud Security and Networking knowledge
Assist with definition of cloud strategies, including guiding principles and future state vision, ensuring that the strategic objectives are aligned with business goals.
• Develop and implement cloud policies and standards in alignment with industry best practices, state and federal regulations, and emerging cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT teams, vendors, and State agencies, to ensure that solutions are architected based on existing operational support models.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to IT teams and other stakeholders on cloud-related issues.
• Work closely with customer stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, perform reviews, design top tier best practices, and deliver strategic, innovative cloud-based offerings.
• Leading the Cloud Infrastructure Design and Architecture on client engagements.
• Stay up to date on the latest cloud trends, and technologies, and recommend solutions to meet State of Maine Requirements.
REQUIRED:
• Expertise in cloud architecture with an understanding of implementation
• Hands-on experience in Cloud (Oracle/AWS/GCP/Microsoft Azure) architecture, engineering, or equivalent experience with vendor specific cloud certification
• Develop repeatable cloud reference architectures based on organizational specific services
• Expertise in identifying risk as it relates to MaineIT policy, cloud services and desired outcomes
• Ability to coordinate with other subject matter experts to develop a concise position on cloud services, products, and services from a brokerage perspective.
• Ability to develop reports pertaining to vendor provided IT products and services
• Ability to document procedures and diagrams related to cloud architecture
• Ability to conduct research, analyze, and communicate risks associated with implementation of solutions and impact financially to executive level management in a concise manner.
• Familiarity with Cloud concepts and tools
• Familiarity in risk assessment processes for information technology systems as outlined in NIST Publications.
• Familiarity with information security controls outlined in NIST Special Publication 800-53
• A high level of attention to detail reviewing complex documents related to cloud architecture and solutioning.
