JOB DESCRIPTION : Need Software Engineer within the Data Governance Innovation & Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have 3 + years of experience in JAVA and (or) Python programming supporting and developing microservice architecture and reusable APIs that are deployed on Kubernetes. Having a background in data governance technologies is a Plus. Responsibilities: - Work with the Engineering team to support Enterprise Data Cataloging and governance needs.
- Support new Data asset integrations to Collibra Governance tool and enable data connection, ingestion and Classification process, for structured (RDBMS) and Unstructured data.
- Adhere to internal development best practices/lifecycle (e.g. Testing, Code Reviews, CI/CD, Documentation) .
- Document and showcase feature designs/workflows.
- Monitor and manage Data refresh jobs, ADHOC data processing and user inquiries.
Qualifications: - 3+ yrs. Development experience with Java and Spring boot or Python
- Knowledge of Full stack engineering, building API’s & Microservices, with SQL, NO SQL databases and Big Data ecosystem.
- Hands on experience in Linux or Unix operating systems
- Strong experience with Git.
- Knowledge building CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building applications on Docker and Kubernetes.
Good to have: - UI/UX design and development, knowledge of frameworks and libraries using Angular and REACT.JS.
- Cloud Engineering experience a plus (e.g. Google, Azure)
- Conceptual understanding of data governance capabilities (e.g. data catalog, classification, profiling, data sharing) is a plus
- Experience with a Data Governance Platform (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Amundsen) is a plus
