Roles and Responsibilities**
· Experience in working as database developer and administrator
· Experience in handling, configuration, and administration of NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
· Experience in working with databases like MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Cassandra.
· Experience in analyzing and visualizing the data along with data modeling.
· Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database software (MySQL, MySQL cluster, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB)
· Design indexing strategies, Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets
· Investigate, assess, and suggest NoSQL products and monitoring/management solutions cases for them
· Experience in trouble shooting /performance tuning.
· Applying technical design and development skills to the creation of database programs
· Analyzing existing databases and data needs of clients to develop effective systems
· Create and configure monitors to establish the health of servers and the databases running on them
· Troubleshoot NoSQL issues and performance bottlenecks
· Design, implement, maintain and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture as required
· Submit service requests to software vendors and drive resolution through to completion
· Work with internal teams to plan and schedule application upgrades
· Manage day-to-day replication processes
· Work with customers to help determine and deploy the best datastore technology and data model strategy for their needs
· Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
· Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols.
· Knowledge of new and emerging technologies
· Following implementation processes for new databases
· Troubleshooting and providing solutions for any bugs in new database applications
· Previous working experience as a NoSQL Developer for 5-8 year(s)
· BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field
· Deep understanding of NoSQL and relational databases and database fundamentals, including data storage, data modeling, and data access patterns
· To achieve peak database performance, the experience should encompass collection building, access method tweaking, sharding implementation, index construction, and debugging query execution
· Extensive knowledge of table architecture, index use, query plan analysis, and performance improvement
· Hands on experience with Linux system administration, including hardware and software troubleshooting, system maintenance, and design
· Outstanding organizational and time management skills
· Analytical thinker with problem solving aptitude
