We are looking for Java Spring boot Cloud developer @ Weehawken, NJ – need 2 days per week onsite for the opening with one of our clients.
Job Title: Java Spring boot Cloud developer
Location: Weehawken, NJ – need 2 days per week onsite
Skills: Java Spring boot Cloud (any cloud is good)
· participate in design and development of a complex strategic Risk Aggregation platform using Core java, Big-Data, Grid computing and caching technologies
· interact with globally distributed Market Risk Officers, Quants and IT Dev/QA team
· design and develop high quality software solutions for the Market Risk Var (Value-at-Risk) platform
· develop new applications to meet regulatory commitments (e.g.: FRTB, GMETH)
· develop applications using Scala and Java programming languages
· implement scalable solutions to meet the ever-increasing data volumes, using Big Data/Cloud technologies Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microsoft Azure Cloud computing etc.
· migrate on-prem apps or build new Apps into Azure Cloud (or) using Big Data Technologies i.e., Azure Data Lakes, Databricks, Redis Cache, Azure Data Factory, Azure Batch
· design and develop Micro-services using Spring Boot and Azure Kubernetes Service (PKS) cluster
Your expertise
· BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Science or Information Technology
· hands-on expertise with Java & Scala programming languages
· experience with Big Data technologies; Spark and Hadoop platform is a must
· experience in any one of the Cloud platforms; Azure (Preferred), AWS or Google
· experience working on any one-of following Hadoop Platforms i.e., Databricks (Preferred), Cloudera, Hortonworks, EMR
· experience building data lakes and data pipelines in cloud using Azure and Databricks or similar tools
· Spark Developer certification from any of (Databricks, MAPR, Cloudera or Hortonworks) is added advantage but not required
· RDBMS or Hive fundamentals, Practice with Unix command line tools, knowledge of Data Structure & Algorithms
· understanding of the Agile SDLC process
