Job Description: We are looking for distinguished, highly energetic, positive, collaborative, and talented free-thinking individuals to join our eclectic, accomplished and versatile team of Cloud Software Engineers. As a Cloud Engineer, your role on our talented team will be comprised of creating and designing elegant and maintainable solutions to complex cloud problems and driving our engineering and automation for public cloud services. This role requires the ability to research, propose and prototype new principles, cloud technologies and concepts and integrate them using common DevOps practices. A successful candidate in this position will have demonstrable experience in cloud technologies focused on AWS. They will understand the intricacies between Amazon Web Services, how they are provisioned, their purpose and how they are integrated into enterprise level solutions. Job Duties & Responsibilities: The role of a cloud engineer entails design and buildout of automation platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies to Provision, Deploy and manage Cloud infrastructure for App teams to consume. The candidate will innovate by identifying opportunities for proactive and reactive (self-healing) automation solutions for Cloud services adopted at our organization. The candidate will design and execute new initiatives to standardize systems, automate designs, build tooling, and optimize operations to reduce implementation cycle times, eliminate service downtime, optimize performance, and ensure that all security and compliance requirements are fully governed.
Must have requirements: • 5+ years of demonstrable, professional Cloud Infrastructure experience in AWS. • 5+ years of experience with AWS Connect, Lambda, S3, Dynamo DB or any other AWS services. • Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and practical application of IaC to manage infrastructure. • Experience with implementing provisioning of infrastructure utilizing Terraform. (either open source, Enterprise or cloud Terraform products) • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps oriented team utilizing the AGILE with SCRUM methodology. • Experience managing code and dependencies in Azure DevOps, GIT along with other Configuration management best practices. • Experience with Cloud formation, Terraform templates and AWS APIs. • Proven experience performing root cause analysis in complex and distributed systems and environments.
