Role: Healthcare IT Business Systems Analyst

Duration: Long term contract (multiyear engagement)


Location: SFO, CA (This position will be onsite based in South San Francisco, Hybrid Model, 2 days in a week onsite, in exception case may consider occasional visit candidates)

 

Mandatory Skills: Should have Pharma/CRO/Life Sciences/Medical devices/Biotech (either one or more) domain experience.

 

Goals/Deliverables

This Business Analyst role will be part of the Personalized Healthcare (PHC) Informatics (IX) Data, Analytics & Platforms Team that provides global technology solutions to enable the PHC Vision and Strategy. The Business Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Developers, and User Experience Designers on scope, solutions, constraints, and risks.
  • Analyzing business scenarios that may potentially be solved by implementation of automated systems and/or modifications to business processes.
  • Providing expertise in evaluation, development, and deployment of systems and/or processes.
  • Being accountable for documentation, which may include, but is not limited to:
  • User Requirements
  • Functional and/or technical specifications
  • Process flow diagrams
  • Training documentation and/or work instructions
  • Computer System Validation documents
  • Developing technical documentation and SOPs
  • Managing communications with multiple business units as well as with internal IT cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current GxP requirements and documentation standards, with the ability to write validation documentation.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in generation validation documents like Specifications and Test Protocols.
  • Facilitate and/or support customers in UAT planning and execution.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
  • Demonstrates ability to explain complex concepts with clarity and simplicity.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

 

Key Skills Required 

  • 5-7 years experience as an IT business systems analyst and a demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environment in various phases of project design, launch, and implementation
  • Experience and understanding of application development methodology - including Agile and Waterfall approaches, functional requirements, process modeling and re-engineering, use case development, user acceptance testing, organizational change management, and large-scale system implementations.
  • Prior experience developing technical documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, highly ambiguous, and evolving environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to quickly produce clearly written, well-organized documentation; excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn the business in unfamiliar areas and to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
