Skills Required
•          8+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
•          Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
•          2+ years of technical program management experience
•          Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
•          6+ years of release management experience
•          3+ years of project management experience (Project or program management experience with client-side applications preferred)
•          3+ years of experience in software development; advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
•          Experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery
•          Experience overseeing and creating new flows and processes
•          Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
•          Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work across teams
•          Attention to detail
•          Expertise with automated release tools like Chef
•          Strong verbal and written communication
 
Preferred Qualifications
•          6+ years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
•          Experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery
•          Experience overseeing and creating software delivery processes
•          Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
 
Responsibilities
•          Define and lead initiatives to improve release quality, deployment scalability and customer experience before, during, and after changes.
•          Ensure on-time and effective delivery of high-quality, enterprise releases.
•          Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
•          Manage release schedules and milestones.
•          Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
•          Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
•          Work with cross-functional scrum teams (Development, Quality Engineering and Product Management) and stakeholders in other functional areas including Project/Program Management, Product Management, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Development Support and TechOps.
•          Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
•          Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
•          Continuously improve release processes.
•          Implement best practices consistent with an agile development methodology.
•          Define and manage release readiness and success criteria based on business requirements.
•          Capture and analyze trend metrics for release readiness.
•          Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
•          Manage and provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments.
•          Communicate plans and status; escalate issues as required.
•          Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
•          Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
•          Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs
•          Assemble and lead a cross-functional team to support releases of varying size, complexity and duration.
