Azure Data Engineer

•             Soundskills and hands on experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure DataFactory, SQL Data Warehouse Azure Blob, Azure Storage Explorer

•             Proficientin creating Data Factory pipelines for on-cloud ETL processing; copy activity,custom Azure development etc.

•             UnderstandAzure Synapse Analytics architecture

•             Be ableto identify performance bottlenecks

•             MonitorAzure Synapse Analytics using Dynamic Management Views

•             Buildperforming data with Table Distribution and Index types

•             Partitiontables using partitioning strategy

•             Creatingand optimizing star schema models in a Dedicated SQL Pool

•             Configureand manage workload classification and resource classes

•             Buildingestion pipelines with PolyBase and ADF to load and export data (bestpractices)

•             Goodtechnical knowledge in SQL Server BI suite (ETL, Reporting, Analytics,Dashboards) using SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI

 

Qualifications

•             Bachelor’sDegree desired in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

•             Minimumof 8-10 years of experience with database design, at least 2 years with Azuretechnologies, and previous Consulting experience

•             Advancedknowledge of SQL, including ability to write stored procedures, triggers,analytic functions, and tuning

•             Knowledgeof relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, andpractice

•             Expertisein working with Synapse and related technologies

•             Desire towork in an information systems environment

•             Excellentcommunication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills for both technicaland non-technical teams
