Position: Java Backend Developer

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6 Months to CTH

Client: Walmart/Sam's Club - Dallas

Vendor: Apex

 

Required Skills

Java Kafka Any cloud platform

 

Basic Qualifications

NoSQL (Mongo is preferred) Microservices API's Springboot

Additional Skills

Python is a plus, not required Need to have some hands-on DevOps experience (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes) Git

 

Job Description

Expertise and hands-on experience in object-oriented programming (Java or Python) and its advanced features - Java preferred
• Prior industry experience in developing Microservices and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot in Java
• Solid grasp of various software design patterns
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), data modeling and RESTful web APIs
• Experience in build & test tools such as Maven, JUnit, Mockito and Jenkins
• Solid understanding of version control tools (preferably Git) and concepts
• Experience in working in a collaborative environment using Agile practices

Bonus Points
• Experience with Apache Spark using Scala or Python
• Experience in working with public and private clouds - Azure preferred
• Experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

 

Notes

Will be working on a purely backend application (event management tool) Interviewing candidates next week Approved through 1/29/22, likely to extend

Starts remote Moving very quick (interviews 7/14 and 7/15)
