Title: Business analyst with API

Location: OAK, PA (onsite from September)

Experience: 10+ years

 

Overview: As an API Analyst, the selected candidate is expected to own all aspects of delivering APIs successfully to Production from start to finish.

 

The selected API Analyst must be able to:

  1. Use Case Definition
      • Identify the API Use Case
      • Highlight the value proposition
      • Identify potential API Consumers
      • Identify revenue potential.
  1. Engage Solutions Team or Subject Matter Experts
      • Gather business requirements
      • Define terminology in the API product (API Product Name, Description, query/resource params, endpoint names,etc.)
      • Gather Target API Requirements
      • Design the API using the "Outside In" Approach
  1. Engage Development Teams
      • Submit AP Project Jira tickets, capturing requirements.
      • Link tickets to any other Jira boards.
      • Identify any SQL or none API related tasks that are dependencies as well as their owners.
      • Explain to Developers and QA Testers
      • Follow up on linked tickets.
      • Confirm .yaml files are provided for the Apigee Proxy.
      • Confirm Postman collections are provided for the Apigee Proxy.
      • Hand off .yaml file to the Developer Portal Business Analyst
  1. Test
      • Test the API in Prod-Test
      • Test the API in Prod-Prod
  1. Marketing
      • Walk through with the client Product Owner
