Location : Toronto, Canada
Job Description:
- ETL Developer Expert Knowledge of SSIS is must 8+ Years of experience, experience in Insurance Domain is a definite plus Roles and Responsibilities:
- Interface with business analysts, business stakeholders and data architects to understand the business requirements.
- Determine and document the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions as required.
- Assist with analysis and profiling of various source data and understand the high-level relationships between data sources.
- Ensure all forms of communication (verbal, email, business documents, and technical documents) are clear, concise and professional.
- Design, develop, unit test and document ETL scripts in a complex data warehouse environment with numerous disparate source systems using
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and SSIS for data integration
- Control-M for package scheduling
- TFS for version control and task management
- Agile/scrum project methodology if applicable
- Ensuring that all development strictly adheres to the ETL framework, naming standards and best practices as provided.
- Ensuring data quality with a strict commitment to unit testing, audit and control procedures.
- Clearly and concisely documenting all technical specifications.
- Performing database modifications as requested by the data architect in accordance with team processes and standards.
- Ensure that all technical documentation is produced for ease of transferring skills and knowledge.
- Perform design reviews and code reviews
