Role: Oracle B2B SOA Solution Architect
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months + may be more than 40 hours per week
Start Date: 3/15 (Flexible)
The client has started an implementation of Oracle B2B that will replace their Sterling EDI integrator solution. They have 1 customer set up and goals of setting up 100's of customers, but has not gone well and are experiencing performance issues, errors and additional problems. The project is being done primarily with internal resources.
They need a technical consultant to come in and validate the work they have started and offer guidance and suggestions on how to move forward. They are using Oracle B2B in an Oracle SOA infrastructure (you can pick Oracle infrastructure or something else and they have Oracle), Weblogic, Oracle EBS 12.2. The B2b version 12.2.130 , the version that last summer was most recent and integrated soa solution with ebs connector, they aren't using.
The resource must have experience with Oracle B2B, Oracle SOA, Weblogic as primary areas in a technical design lead role.
Have not brought as2 customers live, several major performance issues. Production environment crashed when they tried to go live. sftp interface is external to soa managed server for soa gets shut down and cant send/receive documents. B2b will be EDI platform and customers will use edi as2 and also sftp site to be able to drop documents up and pick up for them. B2b will have customers use email but will transfer to more secure.
Other things have slowed them down such as a bug from Oracle through ram at machine to size java process and oversize pieces because of bug.
They have made some decisions already such as:
Edi gateway and not xml gateway and interface with ebs and weblogic with soa suite b2b using NFS. Pros and cons, but understand pros and cons of doing it that way. Big one is simplifies and not as many weblogic instances rather than ebs. Dev, test, soa infrastructure and coupling is done in NFS mounted.
They need a technical consultant to come in and validate the work they have started and offer guidance and suggestions on how to move forward. The person must have good communication skills.
