Position : Oracle & Sybase PL/SQL – Consultant.
Location : NYC/NJ (Local Preferred )
Job Description :
Responsibilities
• Understand requirements relating to change needs of business and design solution accordingly.
• Code development and/or changes as per the business requirements.
• Perform testing of code changes for change function and regression.
• Follow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem and change management
• Ensure service performance expectations are met with service levels and quality
• Raise/escalate any service related issues and risks to track lead and/or BCI lead
Qualifications
• Graduate in Technology with Computers or IT stream
• OR Graduate any stream with course in Computers or IT stream
• Bachelors or Associate degree in computer science or relevant professional qualification.
Preferred skills:
• Good understanding of SDLC lifecycle.
• Must have experience in application development and testing using Unix & Sybase/Oracle PL/SQL.
• Oracle is mandatory i.e. Advance PL/SQL programming through Oracle 12g, Sybase is a plus.
• PL/SQL performance tuning and optimization on Oracle 12g + and Sybase.
• Shell scripting is mandatory i.e. Good level of knowledge and experience in Unix scripting.
• L3 Support for Unix/DB applications
• Must have experience in Perl and Object Oriented Perl language.
• Ability to work directly with business clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
