Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL

Duration: 6 Months

Client: SIRVA Inc.

Rate: $50/Hr. on C2C

Visa: NO Sponsored Visas this time

 

Required Skills:

React.js, ASP.NET

 

Basic Qualifications:

CLIENT PLANS TO CONVERT TO PERM AFTER 3-6 MONTHS. Heavy front-end skills in React. Position is 75% front-end, 25% back. Back end is C#, ASP.NET

 

Job Description:

The Sr. Developer is responsible for designing, developing, supporting and maintaining business applications. Applications include both in-house and purchased software packages. The Sr. Developer is expected to solve complex technical challenges as well as mentor and review the work of Developers and Jr. Developers.

Responsibilities

-Create and Maintain Business Applications

-Write code that adheres to company and team standards

-Write specifications and documentation as necessary and agreed upon per the definition of done

-Review specifications and documentation written by developers for completeness and accuracy

-Unit Test code to ensure high quality

-Coordinate Deployment of Production Releases

-Drives physical and logical database design, understanding complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs

-Works with team to establish and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

-Develop strong working knowledge of internal application setup, functionality, capabilities, and integrations

-Produce estimates for programming assignments

 

Participate as a SCRUM/Kanban/team member

-Participate as a team member translating backlog items into implementable functionality

-Demonstrate a willingness and the ability to stretch and assist other team members in roles other than development to accomplish the commitments of the sprint

 

Application Troubleshooting and Support

-Provide troubleshooting, support, and bug fixes for production applications

-Respond to Help Desk tickets as level 2 or level 3 support

-Provide excellent customer service and proactive communication and follow up with the requester

-Write queries to modify and report on production data for end users

 

Application Design

-Design Enhancements and Small Applications

-Creates well designed, reusable objects

-Understands the benefits of the various design methodologies and object oriented environments

-Produce budgetary estimates for enhancements or Small Applications

 

Qualifications

·         6+ years' experience with .NET Framework (ASP.Net, C#) Sitefinity or any CMS experience preferred

·         Experience with MVC and/or Webforms, web development, Web APIs and Communication Technologies

·         Strong experience with SQL Server & DB concepts

·         Exposure to Azure technologies and environment

·         Desired Technical Skills and Knowledge - .NET Core, Angular, jQuery

·         Strong desire to collaborate and work within a team with ability to effectively communicate ideas and results

·         Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the business

·         Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with multiple teams

·         Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality insights in a variety of timeframes

·         Strong interest to drive to explore and work on newer technologies

·        Bachelor's degree in related discipline and/or appropriate experience

 

Notes

This position sits in Oak Brook, IL (suburb outside Chicago). Remote to start during Covid but on-site thereafter. Open to local or relo candidates.
