Role : SQL/ ETL Data Engineer

Location: Morristown, NJ

Duration: 1+ year

 

Overview

We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing team of BI / SC experts. The candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. Possess a high level of energy and passion about data and processes, a self-starter being able to hit the ground running and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

 

Responsibilities:

•         Work with stakeholders to access business concerns, gather requirements, understand processes and validate project requirements

•         Identify data sources and build pipelines using various ETL tools such as but not limited to, SSIS, and Alteryx. Data sources including but not limited to SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop\Hive, PostgreSQL, Oracle and flat files.

•         Create and optimize data models to support data visualizations.

•         Expert knowledge of data warehousing.

•         Test and validate data.

•         Automate and support workflows to ensure timely delivery.

 

Must Have

•         7+ years of SQL Server database development experience

•         5+ years of ETL experience

•         5+ years of experience in working on more than one database technologies Oracle, Teradata, AWS Redshift

•         2+ years big data experience, Hadoop, Hive, Spark

•         5+ years of experience in building ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS and Alteryx loading data from multiple sources like SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Flat files, Excel, Microsoft Access etc.

 

DESIRED SKILLS

•         BI Lifecycle management

•         Working understanding of Microsoft VBA, Python

•         Experience with Google API is a Strong plus

•         Supply Chain background is preferred

•         Hands on exposure to Tableau or other visualization tools
