Job Title: Mid-level PERL Programmer/Developer
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Description:
Programmer/Developer is solicited by TDI to perform work on an agency application on a Spring platform using Rational Application Developer.
Emphasis of work performed shall be both front-end and back-end development.
Programming work will include, but is not limited to, writing scripts to sanitize and validate data from csv or xml files and process into Oracle databases, as well creating workflow, reporting and dashboarding within an application related to the data.
Additionally, database views may be created for use in Tableau or Microsoft Power BI to assist with comprehensive agency business intelligence needs. Contract staff will also be responsible for writing technical and user documentation.
Required skills:
4 Years of Writing Perl scripts to take data from csv or xml files and inserting into database tables
4 Years of Coding using the following tools: Rational Application Developer (or other Eclipse-based IDE), HTML5, JavaScript (jQuery, Bootstrap), browser-based debugging tools, myBatis, Apache Ant, SVN (or other version control software)
4 Years of Developing applications in Java Spring to manipulate data, create dashboards and reports for internal users
4 Years of Eliciting requirements from end users and applying those in application development
4 Years of Working with Oracle 12c databases, developing database table structure and writing custom Oracle SQL queries
4 Years of Coding following OWASP secure coding practices
4 Years of Developing applications using Agile Scrum project methods
4 Years of Writing technical documentation
Preferred Skills:
2 Years of Working in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
2 Years of Developing java applications on WebSphere Application Server
2 Years of Writing user documentation
