Using PMO best practices and standards, partner with the Microsoft product/program managers to facilitate a project management process to fit their needs, and oversee and execute on that process/plan.  Create, maintain and control the project schedule and dashboard, facilitate meetings, and proactively identify risks to the project.  Shepherd the Project Team through the Release process, being mindful of all requirements.  Facilitate program communications, identify and implement continuous improvement practices, and provide regular status reports as required.

Qualification

·         4-8 years of project management experience, Master's degree preferred, PMI Certification required.

·         Knowledge/background in software industry products/services/applications, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft's products/services/applications preferred.

·         Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop a risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues.

·         The ideal candidate will have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others.

·         Specialized knowledge as defined by project required.

·         Must have excellent communication skills, experience working with external vendors, strong project management skills, and demonstrated success in adult learning and training principles/skills.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

·         As a program manager on our team, you’ll manage a bug triage and escalation process for Commercial Surface Customers.

·         Desired Technical Responsibilities: -Azure DevOps TFS database maintenance. -Drive L1& L2 Issue Resolution Tracker (IRT) Triage calls to vet escalations and gather information -Drive clarity within IRT bugs and communications sent to the lead PM’s or the workgroup. Accurate, clear information is critical for decision making and bug priority.

·         Analyze and assign IRT Bugs to the appropriate CAT lead to drive to resolution –Follow-up with the Lead PM on Blocking/Critical bugs.

·         Create a project plan and track as per plan. -Provide status updates weekly/bi-weekly/monthly. -Understand the taxonomy to enable better reporting of top issues. -Drive/prater the IRT tooling team on Engineering requirements needed within the tools.

·         Keeping IRT bugs updated from email queues, meetings and escalations. -Confirming the MSX opportunity ID’s are accurate and escalate if discrepancies are found -Analysist and trending of the types of bugs being opened and closed on a regular basis – reporting.

·         Alert Lead PM when shiproom assistance is needed so they can attend -Update IRT bugs against the master PLE bugs to fix release timing -Make improvements as discovered which will help the IRT process -Review, track and answer questions within the appropriate Teams channels Functional Responsibilities: -Track team activities and deliverables based on project plan -Communicate with the field as needed -Provide summaries of the top issues (IMR) to the lead PM for SLT communication -Drive offline escalations in to the IRT Process

·         Manage and drive bugs with Lead PM and deliver bug status reports -Conduct and facilitate project meetings including documenting meeting minutes & action items -Project ongoing status updates on the cadence agreed upon with the stakeholders

·         Generate Top Issues Report prepared through analysis and an intimate understanding of product failure scenarios including a detailed technical summary and historical trending. -Deliver survey stats and feedback to IT management and product teams.

·         Deliver ROI stats when the tool provides this feature.

·         Drive Bugs through completion as assigned -Azure Dev Ops, TFS, Excel, Word, Powering, SharePoint and PowerBI as needed -Other projects and duties as assigned.
