Description

The Programmer/Analyst will work with and collaborate with the CLIENT IT development teams, including our off-shore service providers, to develop practical and consistent application development and code management standards in line with Client needs and industry standards. This role will primarily target Oracle SOA SuiteMiddleware technologies (v.12.2.1.3).



***Client would like this candidate to have solid PL / SQL development skills.



This position will be responsible for documenting and communicating standards, training and mentoring as needed and will perform periodic code reviews, participate in code remediation efforts and project audits to ensure effective adherence to standards.



The client's full technology environment includes but is not limited to; web development (HTML/CSS, Java, JavaScript), data access (SQL and PL/SQL), database layer, (predominantly Oracle), middleware (Oracle SOA Suite), external messaging (Sterling Integrator), automated testing (Selenium and Oracle Automated Testing Suite) and several enterprise packages including Oracle E-Business Suite, Siebel CRM and Oracle HCM. Apache Subversion (SVN) is employed as the code repository and management system. ServiceNow is our PPM tool. Client has used SOA Suite Middleware throughout our environment and is integrated with most of the technologies above.



Primary Responsibilities

. Support IT development efforts by inventorying, updating/refining, adding to, maintaining and educating all internal CLIENT development teams and partner service providers on development standards, policies and controls. Publishing regular status reporting on efforts to improve and standardize our development standards and practices.

. Perform design and code reviews especially for sensitive, high-risk development efforts.

. Design and perform Proof-of-Concept efforts for new technologies or for high-risk development efforts.

. Perform and participate in periodic audits of development projects and adherence to standards.

. Participate in design reviews and walk-throughs of projects and system enhancements.

. Participate in code remediation efforts as needed to improve use of SOA Suitemiddleware, bring code to standards, adhere to best practices and enhance code maintainability.

. Support CLIENT's overall change management process, ensuring that all items follow the appropriate change management processes and are managed through clients's ServiceNow ITSM system.

. Builds strong rapport with IT development teams and our service providers.

. Proactively identify risks and resolve issues related to development practices.



Required Skills:

. Demonstratable experience in excellent enterprise-level application development using Oracle SOA Suite Middleware (v 12.2.1.3) and other related technologies relevant to the client.

. Deep knowledge of modern application development standards including service-oriented and object-oriented design and development practices, effective code reusability and maintainability practices, code documentation best practices, and code versioning and revision management.

. Capable of working independently, a self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements.

. Demonstrated analytical skills.

. Excellent communicator with strong reporting and presentation skills.

. Proven project leadership and team mentoring skills



Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems with 10+ years of related application development exper
