Position : Windows System Administrator

Location : Long Beach, CA

Job Type : Contract

Job Description:

1. Monitor and maintain customer application hosted on Windows Server operating system and additional server components including Active Directory

2. Create, test and schedule PowerShell scripts for application health monitoring, backups of folders, server login alerts/password checks and schedule those through Autosys

3. Should be able to create PowerShell scripts to automate regular chores and real time status on resource availability, and monitoring statuses, folder usage etc.

4. Monitor and review system logs, detect and trouble shoot problems

5. Ability to learn new areas, Micro Focus and support in monitoring of Micro Focus activity

6. Write technical documentation on created scripts and procedures

7. Demonstrate in day-to-day work adherence

8. Demonstrated experience as a team lead and who can work independently .

9. Manage code promotion and version control using Git

10. Resolve customer satisfaction issues and respond on-time to customer queries

11. Work efficiently with no or minimal guidance

12. Flexible to support nontraditional work hours for on call support and resolution

13. Good Analytical and communication skills with right professional attitude
