Job Descriptions:

• For context we run 2019.1 tableau server on Linux centos7 and desktop 2019.1 on Mac and Windows.
• All our deployments are automated via Chef. We have more automation using python scripts.
• Duties Provide end user technical support for Multiple Tableau Servers
• Provide infrastructure troubleshooting for Tableau Server (VMs, IPs, system/network, firewalls)
• Provide application expertise and guidance for users and system engineers
• Join the team on-call rotation; user incidents and system alerting
• Collaborate, coordinate and contribute to operations and bespoke platform integrations with internal systems (backup, disaster recovery, metadata extracts, web services)Communicate with the engineering teams to understand roadmaps, implementing and planning for future product changes
• Monitor Tableau Server health
• Optimize Tableau Servers performance
• Participate in implementing quality improvements to maintain highly performant Tableau Servers Skills
• 2+ years’ experience with hands on Tableau Server administration, installing, configurations, upgrades
• Experience in system administration (Linux)
• Experience with scripting/programming (Python, Shell, PHP, Javascript)
• Experience with SQL Detail oriented execution style, exceptional at multi-tasking and problem solving
• Communication and customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Bonus: Experience with Tableau on Linux Experience with automation
• Experience with large scale databases (Hive/Presto/Spark)
• Experience with building and supporting ETL data pipelines
