Job Title: .NET Programmer/ Analyst

Location: Trenton, NJ 08646

Duration: Longterm Contract

 

Job Description:

Responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications for Labor's Wage and Hour Compliance division.

This person will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications using the Microsoft stack including ASP.NET as well as client-side browser technologies (e.g., Angular JS, JQuery, JavaScript).  It is important that candidates have a strong background in building scalable, maintainable, high-quality, and high-performing web applications. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis activities such as storyboarding, developing use cases, and creating functional requirements specifications. 
  • Developing page and item templates, personalization rules, and developing reports
  • Contribute to creating feature specifications and technical design blueprints. 
  • Develop custom features in Visual Studio 2015/2017 based on specifications and technical designs. 
  • Create rich web user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, Angular JS, and JavaScript. 
  • Create server-side functionality using object-oriented design principles. 
  • Building feature-focused unit and system testing (built both by you and others). 
  • Contribute to user acceptance testing procedures and monitoring results. 
  • Contribute to performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation. 

 

Required Experience: 

  • 10 years of progressive experience developing .net based web applications that consume and/or generate XML and JSON/REST Web Services 
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 5 years of experience with design and development of interactive content and/or media-rich websites using MVC Razor Views, emphasis on Single Page Applications (SPA). 
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and current design patterns/practices; 

 

Deep hands-on knowledge of: 

  • The .NET Framework including Visual Studio 2015/2017, C#, MVC 5, Razor Views and ASP.NET, Client-side browser technologies including Bootstrap, Angular JS, CSS, JQuery and HTML 5. 
  • Experience with designing relational databases and optimizing database structure for performance and/or maintainability and the ability to design and optimize queries. 
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
