Minimum 5 years experience as a Linux developer - QEMU, Libvirt experience needed - Experience integrating CPU specific patches into Linux OS - Experience with KVM preferred - Enable stats reporting for CPU - Experience higher up in the Linux stack interfacing with hypervisor and application • Sound knowledge on Linux virtualization concepts and has a good understanding of Hypervisor, Virtual Machine, etc. • Experience in building software on top of the Linux Kernel and applying CPU specific patches in the OS (our resource will have to work as part of the AMD Vendor’s team and currently AMD’s vendor downloads the kernel and patches from https://www.kernel.org and builds on top of them for AMD) • Hands on knowledge of QEMU and KVM (QEMU is an emulator for hardware virtualization and KVM is a virtual machine for the Linux Kernel) • Hands on knowledge on Libvirt (Libvirt is a virtualization library that exposes a bunch of APIs) • Very strong in C++ and Python for building AMD specific applications and for using Libvirt • Experience in generating CPU statistics
