The key points for the role are:

Experience with Coding

Looking for someone from a JAVA background who has experience working with Salesforce in Apex Coding. Node.JS, salesforce dx would be a plus


Experience with Lightning

Good foundational knowledge of how lightning works and what is involved building and implementing components.
Enterprise Application Experience -

The are looking for a candidate that has a development background beyond Salesforce. Again, someone who has experience prior to Salesforce as a Java Developer or .Net Developer should have this skill.
The Candidate should not be someone who jumped right into Salesforce right from College
An understanding of how Salesforce operates within a larger Enterprise environment (other non Salesforce applications)


- communication - must communicate well with physical team and have a history of interfacing with business side

- source control

- lightning - basic fundamental understanding, devOps/release management experience

- previous experience with API development and web services

- ability to work in NY

- willingness to learn



Project is for the marketing team and will integrate 30 different external systems into Salesforce for targeted campaigns, will be an end to end, one stop shop, marketing tool linked to a rewards/points system



3+ years of Salesforce Development

Apex Coding is crucial and the candidate should be able stand on their own in terms of coding without much supervision

ideally Salesforce certified

Mostly enterprise experience

Experience in Salesforce Service or Marketing Cloud is a Plus

Lightning UI experience - More on Building Lightning Components & Applications than Migration Projects

Java background

Must have Source Control experience

Jenkins or Git -

Someone vocal and that thinks outside of the box

As you might probably know that our application is a brand-new application, so we are looking for strong developers not the salesforce admin who knows how Salesforce works. So, the candidate needs to be very strong in the following areas



1. General programming concepts like TDD, Unit tests, Unit test best practices, code quality best practices

2. Salesforce apex(Must)

3. Salesforce Triggers(Must)

4. Salesforce Apex Test(Must)

5. Salesforce SOQL(Must) and SOSL(Optional)

6. Salesforce Lightning Component development (Must)

7. Salesforce data and security model (Must)

8. Salesforce REST/SOAP integration, both inbound and outbound(Good to have)
