JAVA DEVELOPER with Microservices
Richmond/McLean, VA
 Contract 

 
Roles And Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain applications including APIs and batch processes utilizing AWS services and either Java or Go technology stack.
  • Developing REST service using Spring, Flask, Boot.
  • Provide production support for the applications owned by the team.
  • Write unit and acceptance tests.
  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices.
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
 
Required qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in Java.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and implementing database systems, strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies, preferably some of the following: EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS.
  • Experience with Agile development process.
  • Experience writing unit tests.
