Job Title: Software Engineer/Java Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Managing multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing
· Collaborating with global cross functional team in building customer- centric products
· Analyzing existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features
· Updating and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices and software runbooks
· Establishing trusted partnerships with peers, product heads, and executive level stakeholders

· Exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
· Ability to leverage technology to deliver business value
· You are independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environment
Core Skills
· Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience using a modern programming language (Java)
· 5+ years of experience writing software in a professional environment using a modern programming language (Java 8 or 9/Scala)
· Experience with RESTful micro service architecture - ideally with JAX-RS or Spring
· Experience with (AWS)
· Experience with Kafka or messaging system
· Experience with relational (Oracle) and non relational databases (MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra etc)
· Experience developing systems that can scale to large amounts of data
· Good understanding of the project lifecycle process, with experience working in an agile scrum operating model
· Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, including continuous build and test, peer code review, design review, info security review, production, uat and qa release cycles
