Position: Azure Cloud Data Engineer Location : Franklin, TN Duration: 6-12+ Months Interview Mode: Phone and Skype Job Description (Microsoft Azure Cloud Data Engineer (Ingestion / Lake / Compute / Consume)) :- - Minimum of 8+ years of in-depth experience in Data Lifecycle Management, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise level database solutions using open source Big-Data technologies.
- Must have delivered at least one enterprise level Data Management Solution using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, SPARK-HD Insight for Compute, Power BI and Tabular Model for consumption.
- Minimum of 1-2 Years of Experience working on Azure Stack of technologies like ADF, ADLS, Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Data Warehouse, Power BI.
Skills Required/Preferred :- - Must have experience in building data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big data architecture, using Azure Services (ADF) , SPARK, Python or Scala, USQL.
- Experience in building CDC ( Change Data Capture) against various sources of data like SQL Server, Oracle, EDI.
- Data Transformation /Curation experience using SPARK, Azure Functions, Workflow.
- Work and implement Azure Cosmos DB, Spark and ADLS Solutions
- Experience with data architecture standards design and implementation (including strategy, user experience, performance, controls, as well as stability, innovation, and enterprise security requirements).
- Provide guidance around database design for migration from on premises to Azure
- Create and provide solutions for deployment into identified environments.
- Strong understanding of master data and metadata management and demonstrated experience and knowledge of multi-tier architectures.
- Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Management and Master Data Management related technologies.
- Proven expertise in managing the delivery of mid-to-large web/enterprise applications needed.
- Strong experience delivering analytic and reporting solutions to meet business needs is a plus
- Technical experience in Microsoft .NET application development is a plus.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SQL DW.
- Experience with data visualizations tools like SSRS, PowerBI & Tableau.
- Experience architecting and building data marts, warehouses, etc.
- Experience working with different query languages (i.e. PL-SQL, T-SQL).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SQL development techniques and complementary business layer and front-end technologies.
- Strong experience with Azure PaaS services; understands leading practices and adoption patterns.
- Experience in Azure Big Data Technologies like Azure Data Lake, HDInsights etc.
- Strong experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms.
- Ability to drive teams to meet consensus and have vivid passion for applications delivery.
- Ability to identify and communicate issues/risks applying technical and root cause analysis skills.
- Self-motivated and pro-active technical leader with strong decision making, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Agile development environment especially SCRUM using Microsoft VSTS.
Preferred :- - Experience in leading architecture activities like designing, roadmap, & proof-of-concepts.
- Prior experience with MongoDB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc.
- Messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding.
