Job Description:

Working closely with all members of the product, UX/UI and Dev teams, you will be responsible for implementing the front-end of our product experience as well as conceptualizing and planning new features. 

You will be working in a collaborative environment, which is diverse and open-minded. The successful candidate will demonstrate best practice front-end development, including usability, calls to action and delighting the user while maintaining security, cross-platform/browser compliance, accessibility, scalability and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop hybrid mobile/web apps and JS front end technologies.
  • Work with a team to design and develop mobile warehouse solutions.
  • Help maintain code quality and automation


Skills:

  • Candidate should have good command on HTML5, Javascript, CSS, JQuery, JSON, XML, SQL.
  • Working experience with object oriented Javascript pattern.
  • Experience in developing mobile apps using hybrid mobile development framework – specifically with Appcelerator Titanium.
  • Should have working experience in front end Javascript frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CSS support in different mobile and web browsers.
  • Familiar to working with IDE - Axway Appcelerator Studio
  • Working experience in Node JS.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably bitbucket.
  • Proven real world experience with mobile web development.
  • Scope, analyze, design, test, debug and implement complex applications.
  • Cutting-edge application prototyping and development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented software.
  • Good communication skills.

 

 

Project Background

  • Our warehouse management solution uses RF guns for core activities like Storing, Picking, Cycle count, consolidation. Screen size and limited information visible in these devices were causing quality issues where the operator had to make an assumption regarding process instructions.
  • A Mobility project was introduced to improve this process and help with supervisor functions to run on tablets.  These tablet devices will allow detailed instructions to be displayed as the warehouse operators perform their tasks. Supervisor functions should also run on these devices. This will allow supervisors to perform their jobs throughout the warehouse without being forced to sit at a desk to monitor activity.
  • Mobile App being developed - using hybrid mobile development framework -Appcelerator, middleware (Node.js) connecting to Oracle DB through Mongo.
  • Candidate role will be also be supporting the current production system Frontend app, middleware integration, bug fixes, Enhancements, Special Projects.
