Job Description:

 

Technical lead will be responsible for conceiving and implementing the technology platforms that support business needs. Work with the various teams to provide design and technical expertise, drive best practices and ensure the creation of a robust and flexible architecture to meet business objectives. Will be responsible to evaluate current legacy products in BOW and recommend/draw technology roadmap to ensure that the products continue to meet business objectives.     

  • ​​Manage the design, programming, testing and implementation of Enterprise and core banking application, integration with ESB, MDM, Data hubs, etc to ensure efficient and effective architecture and effective workflow within Bank of the West.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for the retail banking application landscape to deliver best practice results in the functional areas of management, regulatory and BNPP reporting, etc
  • Analytically and systematically evaluates problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.
  • Sign off on application changes by working closely with business partners prior to production release.
  • Analyze and work with Business partners on Requirements to develop architecture solution
  • Researches, evaluates, and remains current on relevant and emerging tools, techniques and technologies within the IT 
  • Have strong hands-on implementation skills in contemporary technologies and methodologies and be comfortable working at a highly detailed level in complex technical environment
  • Strong documentation skills
  •  Work with Quality assurance team to resolve all the defects identified
  • Integrate complex web, middleware, and back end systems 
  • Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients.
  • Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations.
  • Experience in Data Analysis, SQL Server queries, tables, stored procedures and triggers 
  • Prior Banking and specifically retail banking  experience would be very important​

 

Required Qualifications:
10+ years of .net/JEE experience, 2+ Years content management applications/product experience (TeamSite,OpenDeploy,IDOL).
10+ years of web applications experience
5+ years of Web Services experience
8+ years of C#.NET/ASP.Net/JEE experience
6+ years of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Framework experience
5+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI and/or Angular JS, Node JS, Bootstrap)
8+ years of Integration Services experience

Minimum 4 year of any of the following Banking domain experience required:
Core Banking, Digital Banking (Online, Mobile, Transfers), Cards, Payments (P2P,B2C, B2B) , Account Origination, Customer Onboarding,  Customer profiling, Customer Journey, Customer 360.

 

Roles & Responsibilities             

  • Collecting and analyzing the project’s business requirements and transferring the same knowledge to development team.
  • Evaluating the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys and workshops.
  • Effectively understand, analyse and collect non functional requirements
  • Combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the systems are built and used to create functional designs across applications
  • Providing suggestions to the development team during the development stage of product to meet the client’s business needs.
  • Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents.
  • Communicating effectively with external clients and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements like screen, interface, and GUI designs.
  • Documenting the acquired results of analysis and workflows as well as obtaining sign-off from the appropriate client.
  • Designing and executing the test scripts and test scenarios.
  • Coordinating with the groups of business unit who test, validate, evaluate new applications and functions, and determine issues in services and software.
  • Managing any change requests related to the working project plans daily to meet the agreed deadlines.
  • Experience in creating the Use Case, Context Diagram, and Activity Diagram using any tool.
  • Experience in creating the URS and SRS.
  • Coordination between different-different stakeholder (including Onsite and Offshore) during the requirement gathering
