Position: Data Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Roles & Responsibilities :-

We have a contractor role for a talented Data Engineer who is passionate about helping doctors better care for patients through sophisticated data analysis tools. Our clinical quality reports give physicians insight into the care they provide to their patient population. Using our MPP data architecture, clinical metrics are computed on a regular schedule against a large set of patient medical records. Metrics are shared with physicians in clinical quality reports. You will be taking on the challenge of implementing those clinical quality metrics along with a team of talented data professionals, while building our next generation cloud-based MPP architecture.

 

Accountabilities :-

• Collaborate with team members and product management to iterate on new features for a business-critical project
• Ability to work with little day to day supervision from project and/or line manager
• Learn the source data model for storing patient clinical data
• Implement and test clinical quality measures.
• Write high-quality, well-tested, readable, maintainable, and performant code
• Deliver in a highly agile, cross-functional Scrum environment.

 

Skill Set Desired :-

• 3+ years of full life cycle database development experience in a hands on role.
• Highly proficient in delivering SQL-based solutions to satisfy detailed application requirements.
• Experience implementing and testing complex reports.
• Strong understanding of data normalization and SQL data access.
• Experience working with terabyte data sets.
• Experience using git, svn, or other source control systems, including branching and merging.
• Test automation with solid test coverage using good test data.
• Strong analytic and communication skills, with work experience in agile environments.
