Java App. Development Consultant. 50719

 

Client: UHG

Candidates can be non-local and there will be a video web ex for interviews.

 

Candidates need bachelor's degree.

 

Position is in Cypress California.

 

6 month contract

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) 

• Agile development through collaborating with QA and Business team members 
• Management of coding, usability and quality standards 
• Ensuring the quality, architecture and accuracy of released code 
• Take ownership of the assigned applications. 
• Be an individual contributor (very hands on) as well as able to guide and mentor team members 

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? 

• Java, JEE, Spring based test development experience 
• J2EE and Javascript proficiency with Web Services (Rest and Soap) and Single Page Application Technologies Specification 
• Proficient with AngularJS Web development 
• Proficient with developer tools, such as Eclipse/JBoss, git/github and Maven for developing on the Java Stack 

What skills/attributes are nice to have? 

• API design and development; RESTful Services; cloud native application development with micro services. 
• Server-side languages like Java, J2EE, Spring including Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring cloud, Spring-MVS and other various Spring packages 
• Database technologies like MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server 
• Web server technologies like ReactJS, Node.js, J2EE Servers (Tomcat, JBoss etc.), Apache, etc. 
• CI/CD with Jenkins, Github experience
