Job Title: Ruby on Rails Developer
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
The ideal candidate will have:
- Design, implement and support applications used by our eCommerce and internal customers
- Work with team of engineers, designers, product managers, and business leaders
- Take a proof-of-concept to production
- A team player, comfortable working as part of a group, willing to share knowledge and help others, or ask questions and accept help when needed
- Able to take over someone else’s code, refactor when needed, without rewriting every line
- Able to break-down complex problems into solvable pieces of work
- Adaptable and versatile; able to find compromises in situations where is not one right answer
- Not shy about making estimates and are always trying to get better at it.
- Production experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Production experience writing and consuming API’s
- Production experience with JavaScript framework such as Angular JS, Ember.js, or React.js.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, in particular EC2, S3, RDS, and Cloud Formation.
- Experience building web-based user interfaces, with a deep understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Hands-on experience with automated testing
- Experience with Agile development
