Primary position objective and purpose:

The Senior Application Programmer/Analyst (Salesforce) works with business and systems analysts, other developers and stakeholders to review, analyze, and modify software applications including configuring, coding, testing, debugging and deploying to support the organization's Salesforce implementation.  Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the Salesforce development environment.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan, prioritize and complete assigned tasks. Provides technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new technologies to support the corporate strategies. Works under the supervision of the project manager and often takes on a team lead role.

Essential Functions / Activities:

Configure, design, develop, enhances, test, debug, and implement software  within an agile development environment (Scrum)

Translate simple to complex user stories into functional and actionable software

Work with other developers to design integrations between systems across the enterprise

Support application testing and deployment as part of the full release cycle

Create and verify execution of software test plans, including integration, capacity and performance testing

Work with supervisor to plan, prioritize and schedule concurrent projects

Communicate with management the status of development, assignments and projects

Follow and contribute to technical processes, coding standards, and guidelines

Prepare design & technical documents

Serve as backup administrator for Salesforce applications and environments

Mentors others in system development

The ability to communicate and work in a team environment is critical

Participate in Corporate Business Resumption (DR) Exercises

Provides production support of existing Salesforce implementations

Research new technologies and solutions to improve Salesforce-based business solutions

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

This position requires 7 to 10 years of application analysis, design and development experience in a Salesforce environment.

BA/BS or equivalent experience

Technical / Functional Skills:

Knowledge of the following development tools and languages utilized by Salesforce:  VisualForce, Lightning Components, Apex, JavaScript, Salesforce1, SFDC API's, SOQL, SOSL, Force.com Platform, Salesforce Data Loader

Knowledge of Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds

Experience in structured SDLC methodologies including Agile/Scrum

Knowledge automated deployment / DevOps tools and technologies

Knowledge of source control managements

Working knowledge of MS Office tools

Good customer support skills

Strong problem solving skills
