Mongo DB Admin – Urgent

Responsibilities
- Configure and monitor numerous MongoDB instances and replica sets
- Automate routine tasks with your own scripts and open-source tools
- Solve production problems
- Improve database backups and test recoverability regularly
- Study the database needs of our applications and optimize them using MongoDB
- Maintain database performance and capacity planning
- Write documentation and collaborate with technical peers online
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field
- Coding skill with at least one of Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby or Java
- Solid knowledge of MongoDB and other NoSQL database concepts
- Minimum of 2+ years Linux proficiency (as a power user and administrator)
- Experience with modern 24x7 web production environments is a plus
- Experience with database replication and scaling issues is a big plus
- Willingness to work flexible / odd hours (as needed)
- Successful experience working in a team environment

Business Support Analyst
- Scope of Work
- Newly formed customer facing Business Support Analyst Team to perform post-production support functions.
- The team will be responsible for the ongoing support of USIS applications in production.
- Interface directly with customers and Equifax technical, operations and business teams to resolve and complete customer requests.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key customer contacts.
- Analyze, diagnose and solve customer issues independently leveraging other resources within Equifax when required.
- Address system incidents, informational requests and other support with a sense of urgency and due professional care.
- Perform outbound communication and notifications related to USIS applications.
- Transition customers from project teams to post-install support team.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to external customers, internal business and IT partners.
- Maintain and update request information within the request tracking/ticketing system.
- Implement customer support best practices.
- Maintain customer application run book.
- Role Skill Requirements
- Customer facing with demonstrable communication skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Jr. resources should have basic technology knowledge – General understanding of software systems, servers, databases, network, operating system and client side technology.
- Sr. resources should have intermediate to advanced technology knowledge, to include experience with all or any of the following: XML, SQL, Unix/Linux, Java runtime, Middleware.
- Ability to learn Equifax tool set required to perform job.
- Ability to learn Equifax products and related industry knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).

Additional Preferences:
Education
- 4 year degree is strongly preferred.
- Technical degree desirable (examples: IT, MIS, CS, etc..) vs. liberal arts, unless resource has a minor in a technical discipline and/or solid experience and knowledge is demonstrated
- Degrees from technical institutions will be considered in conjunction with sufficient demonstrable experience
- Alternate experience e.g. military service will be considered with sufficient demonstrable experience
Experience
- Sr. Role - Longevity in positions is preferred. >5 years client facing and post production experience
- Jr. Role - <5 years experience . Must demonstrate strong aptitude with technical major or minor degree
- Willing to teach the right Jr. level / recent college graduate candidates, but Lead/Sr. must have the required experience
Skills
- Technical knowledge: Unix, Oracle, Java, XML
- Ability to read XML
- Ability to decipher log files – use them to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to access data in a DB
- Ability to access info on a Unix box
- Infrastructure knowledge
- Ability to answer questions like 'what is the cloud?', 'what is a URL?'
- Communication: There will be lots of customer contact
- ability to explain information and resolutions to customers

Job description
- Post production support
- Will not entail writing requirements, but client facing skills are desirable
- Lead needs ability to review all incoming tickets, prioritize, assign out to team, and monitor progress
- Senior may need to backfill this set of responsibilities
Example Support scenarios
- Customer (e.g. Mortgage Company) submits a credit request for $300,000 loan. System returns as rejected or only approved for $200,000
- Customer submits ticket asking why since info appeared to them to merit approval
- Prod support resource needs to review data, understand the decision tree and determine what caused rejection of the application. Resource then needs ability to communicate effectively to the customer and work with them to resolve any issues
- Customer logs ticket indicating system is sluggish and returning data very slowly
- Prod support resource needs to work through determining if it is an issue on customer end or on Equifax end and needs to work through steps of trying to resolve the problem
- Customer logs ticket that system is down
- Prod support resource needs to troubleshoot potential causes and work towards resolution. Needs ability to know when / how to interface with necessary internal teams
