Job Description

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler & Data Engineer with strong expertise in Guidewire and Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models and data pipelines that support Guidewire applications and business analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Guidewire applications and related systems.
• Develop, optimize, and support scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and integration workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Integrate data from Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter with downstream applications and data platforms.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and compliance across enterprise systems.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, and lineage analysis for Guidewire implementations and enhancements.
• Optimize database performance and support data migration activities.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter).
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance processes and data domains.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, data governance, and master data management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter.
• Knowledge of Guidewire integration frameworks and APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant Guidewire or cloud certifications are a plus.

 

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have hands-on Guidewire experience and/or strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain expertise.
