Role: Mainframe Developer

Location: Irvin, CA (Hybrid role)

Duration:- Long contract

Job Description:

3 to 5 years of experience in Mainframe Application Development using COBOL and JCL
Experience in Application Development using DB2 and SORT
Must have VSAM database experience
Own the detailed technical documentation, system design and program specifications
OpenText Exstream knowledge is plus
Assist in project lifecycle stages from inception to completion
Work in the global delivery model
Need to handhold offshore team.
Take a lead role for analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing more complex application enhancements, providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects
Utilize and participate in the more complex full system development life cycle, per current Organization SDLC standards
Take a lead role in collaborating with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
