Position : Application and Infrastructure Security Consultant

Location : Broadway, NY

Duration : 12+ months contract

The purpose of this position is to supportthe research, procurement, implementation, and ongoing operation andmaintenance of all information security technologies that are designed toprotect the corporate infrastructure at the host, endpoint, cloud, applicationlevels. This position is responsible for ensuring that sensitive data isidentified, and that it is properly protected through the use of theappropriate security technologies.. Thorough knowledge microcomputer and datacommunication hardware; telecommunication concepts, topologies and protocols;local and wide area networking.

 

•       Ensurethat Secure Application Coding techniques are followed during applicationdevelopment phases through integration of these requirements into the SDLC.Assist with the process of performing application code reviews, Applicationsecurity assessment techniques (SAST, DAST), system vulnerability assessments,and penetration testing to test

•       Haveapplication security vulnerability knowledge including security risks as perOWASP, SANS Top 25, etc.

•       WebServers experience (IIS, Apache, etc.) and middleware software experienceracle's WebLogic and IBM's WebSphere.

•       Knowledgeof multiple programming languages: Java, C#.NET, PHP, etc. and web applicationmulti-tier architectures and operation (session management, caching, etc.)

•       Assistwith the process of maintaining and administering the Proxy/Content Filteringtechnologies and ensure that any remediation that is required to protectagainst threats are handled in a timely manner.

•       Administerthe Cryptography & Key Management (PKI) processes

•       Assistwith the Server and Network Hardening processes performed by the infrastructureteams and perform Hardening Validation testing to ensure that policies andguidelines are being adhered to.

•       Researchand recommend the appropriate levels of infrastructure and application securityrequired for the Cloud, Virtualized, Middleware, and Database environments, andmanage the administration of security on these platforms to ensure thatadequate controls are in place.

•       Assistwith the process of implementing and maintaining current and supported levelsof Anti-Malware and Anti-Spam technologies to protect the client computingenvironment.

•       Assistwith the implementation and administration of Data Loss Prevention technologiesincluding but not limited to Full Disk Encryption, Removable Media Encryption,and port protection technologies.

•       Performthe implementation of the technical security for Mobile Device Management andcontrol access to the Air Watch Administration platform to ensure that adequatecontrols are always in place.
