· The SQL Server DBA provides the operational support and development of the Microsoft SQL Server Infrastructure (Production and Non-Production environments, which includes Database Servers, Database Services, and implementation of SQL based tools and infrastructure).

· The Senior SQL DBA will provide tier 2 and tier 3 technical support for Database systems.

· The Senior SQL Server DBA role is responsible for providing operational database services for Corporate Infrastructure.

· This is a production DBA role; as such it will require some after-hours support.

· Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing service related reports (e.g.: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved, and working with team members to come up with strategic solutions.

· This role requires experience in managing servers in AWS.

Responsibilities:

· Build, configure and deploy SQL Databases

· Manage databases on AWS on EC2 and RDS service.

· Development and Oversight of backup strategies for the SQL Server Infrastructure

· Manage SQL Database Security

· Performs capacity planning

· Controls privileges and permissions to database users

· Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and recommends new/existing technologies that might increase productivity, reduce down time, or improve the quality of work related to SQL server systems

· Maintain sound backup policies and procedures

· Provide 24x7 support of the SQL environment, including on call support

· Experience with SQL in virtual, physical and cloud based environments.

Qualifications:

· At least 8-10 years of ETL experience in a SQL server environment.

· 3+ years’ experience migrating and/or managing databases in cloud (AWS).

· Previous experience working with large databases (at least half terabyte) is necessary.

· Working knowledge of EDI formats, BizTalk server is desired.

· Must have T-SQL and SSIS skills.

· Excellent debugging skills.

· 5+ years’ experience with Transact-SQL (ANSI 92). MSSQL Server 2012 or higher

· 5+ years’ experience using SQL to query complex relational databases.

· 5+ years’ experience as a Database Administrator with MSSQL Server 2012 or higher

· 3+ years using standard ETL technologies is required, while experience using SSIS is a definite plus.

· Experience with OLTP
