Role: Cloud Engineer
Duration: Long Term
Location: This role is currently remote and will transition to a hybrid work model in you'll need to occasionally report in the office. The ideal candidate would be located near a Deloitte office in one of the following cities: Georgia - Atlanta, Texas – Austin, Dallas, Houston; Arizona – Gilbert, Phoenix; Florida – Lake Mary, Orlando, Tampa; North Carolina – Charlotte; Massachusetts – Boston.

-Assist in the adoption of cloud infrastructure platforms and the integration of a hybrid architecture
-Manage Azure environments utilizing governance policies and security guidelines and assist with building on these policies and guidelines
-Assist in the build and integration of cloud CI/CD stack with on-premise pipelines
-Work with distributed teams to ensure that application services are properly instrumented to be reliably monitored and debugged
-Focus on deploying the managed version of these platforms so it should be mostly configuration management in the templates or blueprints that would be created. If there are -Terraform modules or ARM templates already created that can be leveraged that should be the default operational plan.
-Automate manual, repeatable system processes to reduce Tier 1 efforts
-Collaborate with project teams to deploy new solutions for proof-of-concept efforts
-Document and maintain procedures and system configurations for use in ongoing support and future efforts that require modifications or upgrades to the infrastructure
Key Skillsets:
-Proven knowledge and experience in the deployment of Microsoft's Azure services
-Experience in automation, configuration management and deployment of enterprise scale infrastructure(IaC) using Ansible, Terraform or ARM; Experience with containers and container orchestration software platforms Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Registry,etc.
-Experience with relational and NoSQL platforms specifically SQL MI, Postgres and Mongo. -Kafka is an added bonus, but databases and their configuration support is where I'm focused.
-Knowledge of configuring monitoring solutions and the creation of dashboards (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
-Experience with either Linux or Windows environments and scripting languages - bash, python, Ruby, Powershell, etc.
-Software development experience (Java, Go, Node JS) preferred
-Motivated to participate in ongoing learning and growth through pair programming, code reviews, application of new technologies
