Title: Appian Developer Location: Washington, DC Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Appian application support and development, encompassing BPM-based solutions. The candidate should be skilled in technologies like Appian 19.x, 20.x, and 21.x, as well as databases such as Maria DB, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL. Proficiency in web services, SOAP/REST, HTML, XML, JSON, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Rally is essential. The responsibilities include working on system integration, mobile and portal application development, and extended interface applications using the Appian suite. Possessing an optional Appian L2 (or above) certification is a plus. Previous experience in production application support and development, along with strong problem-solving and design skills, is required. Hands-on expertise in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Appian development is expected. A solid understanding of Appian architecture, best practices, and BPMN standards is necessary. The role involves working with in-house and cloud-hosted environments for production support, Appian plug-in development, and system integrations. Familiarity with relational databases, data modeling, database design, and SQL is important. Effective verbal and written communication skills are emphasized. A minimum educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree in fields such as computer science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related areas.
