Strong automation testing skills and API testing are crucial for this role

 

Responsibilities:
 · Obtain and review requirements from Product Owners indicating the business needs and functionalities of the proposed application and plan for test strategy.
 · Build automated testing capabilities using available software tools.
 · Design and develop detailed test plan documents describing the approach to be taken for automating the feature.
 · Conduct functional testing and integration testing of application and prepare documentations.
 · Identify software bugs and document them in an issue tracking system.
 · Discuss scenarios and fixes with software engineers.
 · Report defects and follow up with cross teams. Repeats the testing cycle until the new application works flawlessly.
 · Assume ownership of test modules and/or technology areas.
 · Responds to and engages with multiple teams for escalated production issues and help test in development and production environment
 · Build automated testing in Selenium, Cucumber and Java for both API and UI testing.

Qualifications:
 · 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in software testing including automation
 · Highly analytical, pro‐active and detail oriented
 · Knowledge of Quality and Systems Development methodologies
 · Knowledge and experience with testing of Java based application frameworks (API and UX) using automation tools such as Rest Assured, Selenium, Cucumber, JMock, Junit, TestNG, SoapUI and Postman.
 · Knowledge and experience with Java and / or JavaScript based development.
 · Containers and virtualization such as Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, AWS, OpenStack
 · Infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt
 · Understands RESTful APIs
 · Database experience with SQL query
 · Experience with tools like JIRA, Subversion, GIT
 · Regression and Manual Testing
 · Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
 · Demonstrated experience with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
 · Ability to understand functional and technical specifications and analyze data and output logs.
 · Familiarity with product development lifecycles and highly methodical test discipline, applicable to all product development cycles.
 · Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
