Role: Database Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite)

Description:
Database Platforms Services - Analytics team is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individual who is a self-starter and is passionate about Engineering Database solutions.
This position will be focused on building automation pipelines around database platforms (on-prem and cloud) which will require programming skills (Shell scripting/Python) and Database knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Automate standard Database processes using Unix Shell scripting/Python.
- Design and Architect database solution on Snowflake cloud platform, AWS, Azure and Databricks.
- Develop new automation scripts in python and write unit cases.
- Enhance/troubleshoot existing Unix shell scripts.
Skills Required:
- Expert in programming and has automation mind set.
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS and Azure Cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, SnowPark, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.
- Snowflake SQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake Developing scripts Java, Python, Scala, etc. to do Extract, Load, and Transform data.
- In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modeling structure principles
- Experience with Database design and architecture patterns.
- Experience in Data warehousing - OLAP systems, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modeling.
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing production grade data warehousing solutions on large scale data technologies such as Snowflake, DB2, Hadoop and SAP IQ.
