Role: Java Engineer (Production Support) Location: Oaks, PA (Remote till covid) Rate: Contract Candidate needs to relocate to OAKS,PA when the client calls them onsite. • Responsible for technical design, development (database and/or GUI), and support of infrastructure, applications and other components and processes. • Participate in planning, development of specifications, project plans, and other supporting documentation and processes. • Work with key project stakeholders and senior management. • Aid in planning future infrastructure requirements. • Work closely with Operations to resolve critical issues and ensure smooth functioning of business processes.
Required Skills: • Excellent communication skills. This position would require regular communication with various stakeholders including Vendors, Clients, Technical and Business Operations, and Senior Management. • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently. • Very good analytical and problem solving skills. • Hands on work experience on Linux, Java, MQ, Kubernetes, and Docker containers. • Extensive experience in Object-Oriented Programming and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies including Agile. • Experience in recommending technology solutions, techniques, and processes for department- and/or corporate-wide implementations• • Knowledge of Oracle and PL/SQL, database design and advanced query techniques (DML and performance tuning). • Working experience in WebAPIs. • Strong understanding of design patterns, architecture and best practices in development and deployment. • Strong refactoring skills.
